Midfielder- The midfielder is one of the most important players on the field.  He or she is able to play the whole field.  This is the position that you will run the most in.  On one team, three midfielders will play on the field at one time.  Finally, the midfielder uses an attack stick.  This stick is about as long as your arm and has a head on the end with optional hard or soft mesh.

Defenseman- The defensemen have another important job.  These people defend the goalie.  They use a defensive stick.  This is a stick about twice the length of your arm.  This doesn’t have a specific type of head you need to use.  The mesh goes the same way.  On one team there are three defensemen on the field at the same time.  These people play a key role on the field.

Attack man- The attack man is an essential part of the game lacrosse.  This is an offensive position.  These players stay near the opponent’s goalie and try to make some of the crucial plays of the game.  They use an attack stick which is also used by the midfielders.  There are three attack men on the field at one time.  These are people that need to do their job on the field to determine the game’s outcome.

Goalie- The goalie is by far the most important job on the field of lacrosse.  These players sacrifice themselves to defend the net.  These players use goalie sticks.  These sticks have shafts slightly longer than attack shafts and have an enormous head.  Only one plays on the field per team at the same time.  There are times when the goalie can leave the crease, but he usually stays on defense.
