Lacrosse is a fun nonstop sport that excites boys and girls.  It was actually originated in North America by the Native Americans who called it baggataway.  Each of the two teams’ were to get a small ball into the nets on either side of the field.  Today it is called lacrosse because the French Missionaries came to America and thought the stick looked like a bishop’s staff or a cross.  The modern game began in Eastern Canada in the 1800’s.  Lacrosse is an intense, quick, sport that’s fun for all ages.
