| The Nintendo DS has been through a lot of different design changes. The one at the left is the one it currently is. | ![]() |

This is one of the first designs of the DS. In my opinion this is the worst design. The comfort for your hands would be horrible. And it just seems to big a bulky. |
| This old design isn't nearly as bad as the first one. As you can see on this one there is no X or Y buttons. Originally Nintendo wasn't going to have the extra buttons, but they decided to add them for the sake of many games. This design most people could deal with. It is more comfortable than the one above and it just seems more portable and easy to deal wit |

The Nintendo DS has many features it has two screens , a touch screen and regular screen, for more interactive play. Also it has two game ports, DS game port and Game Boy Advance port, so you can play all your new and old games. It comes with a stylus when you buy it so you can write on the touch screen. Another feature is the rechargeable battery so you won't have to go out and buy more batteries when the old ones die. Like past handhelds. |
| The DS has many parts to it. Part 1 (in the picture) is the regular and touch screen. Size of it is 256 X 192 X RGB Dots which is pretty big for a handheld. They can also display 262,144 colors which is a lot. The second part are the speakers. Each speaker is a 10ch ADPCM/PCM, which can get to a pretty high sound level. Part 4 are the buttons they are used to operate the system. |
