Martina McBride Schiff was born on July 29, 1966.  She grew up on a farm in Sharon, Kansas.  She was one of four children.  Martina grew up singing and playing the keyboard with her family's country band, The Shiffters.  They played at local fairs and played country hits.  In 1998, she married John McBride, and two years later they moved to Nashville.  Today they have three daughters, Delaney, eleven, Emma, seven, and Eva, seven months.  When she arrived in Nashville, Martina's goal was to land a record deal.  To break into the business, Martina sold merchandise at Garth Brooks concerts.  Not even two weeks after she released her first album, she was back on the road with Brooks, this time opening for him in concert.  Since then concerts and has numerous country hits to her credit.
