Welcome, to the Harry Potter webpage. This page will tell you interesting things about Harry and some of his friends. The author of this interesting, and exciting series is J.K. Rowling. The first book of the series "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" came out in 1997. There are only seven books in the series. there are only six of those books out though. Four of the books have been turned into movies. the most recent movie "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." came out November 18, 2005.
	In each of the books, Harry faces a series of dangers from his enemy Lord Voldemort. Voldemort killed Harry's parents and is now out to get him. Voldemort tried to kill Harry when he was a baby, but Harry somehow defeated him. Harry didn't die though, and that is what makes him so special.

		What made a baby powerful enough to weaken an extremely dark wizard? Through out the series you learn more and more about Harry and his enemy, Lord Voldemort. In each book Harry and his best friends Ron, and Hermione have to over come Voldemort's plan of killing Harry.
