There are a lot of characters available in Mario Kart Double Dash. A lot of characters are debuting in Mario Kart and a lot of characters are veterans.

The lightweight characters:

• Baby Mario is a little kid with a lot of speed. His special item is the chain chomp.
• Baby Luigi is also known as “Baby Wuigi“. His special is also the chain chomp.
• Koopa Troopa is a turtle with a green shell. His special is triple red and green shells.
• Paratroopa is a turtle with a red shell. His special item is also triple red and green shells.
• Diddy Kong is like a miniature Donkey Kong. His special item is a giant banana peel.
• Baby Bowser is just as evil as Bowser but miniature. His special is a giant spiked shell.
• Toad is a kid with a mushroom on his head. His special is a super mushroom.
• Toadette is a girl with a pink mushroom on her head. Her special is also the super mushroom.

 

The middle weight characters:

• Mario is the big version of Baby Mario. Mario's special attack is fireballs.
• Luigi is like Mario , but with a green cap with an L on it. Luigi's special is fireballs only his are green instead of red.
• Peach in the old games was a lightweight in the old games, but is now a middle weights. Her special is a heart shield.
• Daisy is like Peach, but Peach is royal. Peach and Daisy have the same special which is the heart shield.
• Yoshi is a little green dinosaur who was a lightweight, but is now a middle weight. Yoshi's special attack to winning is the Yoshi Egg.
• Birdo debuted long before Yoshi, but Yoshi is better well known than Birdo. Her special is the Birdo Egg.
• Waluigi is a comical kind of evil because he does stupid things. His special is Bob-omb.

 

       The heavy weight characters: 

• Donkey Kong is a giant ape who loves to drive. His special is a giant banana peel.
• Bowser is the King of the Koopas. His special is the Bowser shell.
• Wario is big and chubby, but is well known. His special like Waluigi's is the Bob-omb
• Petey Piranha is a big mutated flower. His special is what everyone else's special.
• The last heavy weight is a ghost and his name is King Boo. HIs special is what everyone else can get.
