The Harry S. Truman is the Navy’s largest aircraft carrier.  It is 1,096 feet long, it is as long as the empire state building is tall. Aircraft carriers carry many kinds of aircraft.  They carry helicopters, planes and jets.  They carry ground crews and radar equipment to specified areas as well.  The Navy uses helicopters to scout for enemy fleets.  Navy warships would be used to attack enemy aircraft, surface craft and ground enemies.
