Navy S.E.A.L.S are the special operations team of the navy.  S.E.A.L.s stands for Sea Air and Land, and that is how they attack the enemy.  A S.E.A.L. usually consists of either 4, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, or 20 man squad.  They mainly do stealth missions but they do assault missions as well.  On stealth missions they use automatic suppressed weapons like the M4 or MP5; those are the 2 main weapons.  On assault missions any kind of weapon is used, sniper rifles, automatic, semiautomatic, and demolitions.  On their missions they search-and-rescue, search-and-destroy, retrieve enemy intelligence, and taking out or capturing big leaders.  S.E.A.L.s usually have top secret missions so the never talk about there jobs, and that’s why you never hear about them.

Training

Navy S.E.A.L.s have one of the toughest jobs in the military, they even one of the toughest training facilities in our military.  They go through 6 months of hard painful training.  The sixth week of training is called “Hell Week” for the physical and mental pain that they endure.  S.E.A.L. trainee does have to go through a BUDS.  BUDS stands for Basic Underwater Demolition S.E.A.L. training.  During field training S.E.A.L.s use fake guns instead of real guns due to a safety caution.
