Mike Delfino, who is played by James Denton, is an incredibly busy man wrapped up in the lives of everyone on Wisteria Lane.  Like his character Mike, James is a very busy man, especially in his growing acting career.  At first, James played basketball in a college on a scholarship, but at the age of 28, he decided to be an actor after working in the Chicago Theater a couple times.  James has starred/guest starred in many shows and movies such as “Our Town”, “Untouchable”, “Primary Colors”, “Face Off”, “That Old Feeling”, “The Pretender”, “Pretender: Island of the Haunted”, “Philly”, “Threat Matrix”, “A Streetcar Named Desire”, “Lapin, Lapin”, “Flesh and Blood”, “The night Hank Williams Died”, “The Diviners”, “Asylum at the Court Theater”, “Locked Up Down Shorty’s”, “In Walked Monk”, “JAG”, “Slider”, “Dark Skies”, “Two Guys and a Girl”, “Ally Mcbeal”, and “The West Wing”.  James currently lives in Nashville and is only working on “Desperate Housewives” at the time.

Carlos Solis is a strong, rich husband who loves his wife, similar to Ricardo Antonia Chavira, who plays his character.  Ricardo is a loving husband as well, but he also has a son named Tomas Antonio Chavira.  Ricardo lives in Los Angeles with his family, but still acts in many shows.  Ricardo has starred/guest starred in many shows and movies, such as “The Alamo”, “The Grubbs”, “Six Feet Under”, “The Division”, “Joan of arcadia”, “Kingpin”, “24”, “JAG”, “NYPD Blue”, “Philly,” “City of Angels”, “George Lopez”, “Tracers”, “Dogeaters”, “Jack and Jill”, “Bandido”, and “Living Out” .  Ricardo also helps with a foundation called the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and has served as the national Team Captain for the “Race for the Cure” in Washington D.C.  Ricardo helps with these foundations because he can relate to him.  He lost his mother to cancer when he was fifteen.  So far, Ricardo and his cast mate, James Denton (Mike Delfino), have raised over $10 million dollars and are still raising money.

John Rowland is a young man who has big dreams and plans for himself, but is only a gardener.  Jesse Metcalfe, who plays John, is like him in many ways.  Jesse was born and raise in Waterford, Connecticut.  He went to college in New York and began his modeling career.  One day, he auditioned for the role of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the popular soap opera, Passions, and won the role.  He has only appeared in a few other shows, like “Smallville”, “44 minutes”, and “A Shoot-Out in North Hollywood”.  Though Jesse’s acting career has just started, he would like to do other things with his life.  Jesse plays basketball, plays the guitar and is an aspiring musician, participates in a fundraiser called “The Hollywood Knights”, and wants to be a future director.

Tom Scavo is simply a loving father of four who is oblivious to the true amount of help his needs raising them.  Just like his character, Doug Savant is a father of four and a loving husband to his wife, actress Laura Leighton.  Doug started his acting career on the hit Fox television show “Melrose Place,” which he is now back for the second season along with “Desperate Housewives”.  Doug has also starred/guest starred in a couple of movies and shows such as “Masquerade, “Hanoi Hilton”, “Red Surf”, “Godzilla”, “24”, “According to Jim”, and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”.

Rex Van de Kamp is a character not often mentioned and is unseen (except in parts of the first season).  Steven Culp, however, who plays Rex’s character, is the exact opposite.  Steven is always acting and always moving around, so much so that there is little time for anything else, including a family.  Steven has starred/guest starred on tons of shows and movies, such as “Thirteen Days”, “CSI”, “Lyon’s Den”, “JAG”, “The West Wing”, “ER”, “Star Trek: Enterprise”, “The Sisters”, “The Emperor’s Club”, “Spartan”, “Nurse Betty”, “James and the Giant Peach”, “Fearless”, “Dead Again”, “Gore Vidal’s Lincoln”, “24”, “Ally Mcbeal”, “Philly”, “The Practice”, “Crossing Jordan”, “ Providence”, “Boston Public”, “Chicago Hope”, “A Story to Die For”, “How to Make a Monster”, “Norma Jean and Maryland”, “The Lisbon Traviata”, “Sweet Sue”, “Actors and Actresses”, “Highest Standard of Living”, “If Memory Serves”, “Angels in America”, “Raised in Captivity”, “Costal Disturbances”, “Richard III”, and “ART”.  Steven will continue to act in many of these series and will perform in theaters around his hometown.

Paul Young is one of the most mysterious men on “Desperate Housewives,” with his dead son, missing wife, and him, going in and out of town all the time.  Mark Moses, who plays this deceiving character, happens to be the complete opposite and is always in the spotlight.  Mark doesn’t have a family of his own right now, but he is working towards that among other things.  He had always wanted to be an actor and went to acting school as soon as he could.  From then on, he has starred/guest starred in many shows and movies, such as “The Single Guy”, “In My Life”, “Ally McBeal”, “Grand”, “Saving Jessica Lynch”, “The James dean Story”, “The Rough Riders”, “The Trackers”, “North and South”, “NYPD Blue”, “The West Wing”, “Las Vegas”, “The District”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, “10-8”, “American Dreams”, “7^th  Heaven”, “Oliver Beene”, “Platoon”, “Born on the Fourth of July”, “The Doors”, “Red Dragon”, “After the Sunset”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Race to Space”, “Gettysburg”, “Deep Impact”, “Slab Boys”, “Love’s Labors Lost”, and “Our Country’s Good”.
