Nicole Camille Escavedo was born in Berkeley California.  Her biological parents were peter Escavedo.  At the age of 3, because of financial reasons, Nicole moved in with her fathers band member Lionel Richie.  Then at age 9 Lionel Richie formally adopted Nicole.

Nicole is trained in many things such as, cello, violin, piano, and figure skating and has plans to pursue a music career. She attended the University of Arizon for 2 years but then stopped and made her musical debut during early winter of 2005 by playing the piano on ABC's The View.

Nicole is also currently working on her debut album but has only leaked one track called Dandelion.  Along with her music release she recently wrote a book (semi-autobiographical). Although there is no release date, the 7 songs that are done so far are a mix of soul, rock, and dance.

Along with working on her debut album and selling her new book, Nicole has found time to work for the new campaign for Bongo Jeans, this is Nicole's first endorsement deals.  Recently at on of the photo shoots Nicole was seen eating Taco Bell-her favorite fast food-dancing and getting cozy with her boyfriend Adam Goldstein, who is a DJ. Adam DJed all of the music at her photo shoot which happened to be some of Ms. Richie's favorites.  He says this helps her stay energized and happy.
