Bo Jackson is arguably one of the greatest athletes who ever lived. He played both professional baseball and football. He didn't just play both sports he excelled in them. He made people leave stadiums drooling, that's how good he was. |
| Bo grew up in a very small house in Bessemer, Alabama with eight of his nine siblings. The house was only three rooms with a bathroom in which Bo had to sleep. When Bo got mad he would yell, and it reminded his family of a wild boar so they called him that. Later it was shortened to Bo and that's where we are now. |

When Bo was in third grade he was outside and saw sixth graders running track and decided to try it. He beat everyone and the coach asked him to be on the team and during the first meet he won three races. |
| When BO was ten years old he played with thirteen year old in baseball and they wouldn't even go out in the field when he was pitching because they knew he would strike out everyone who got up. |

Dick Atchinson was Bo's football and track coach. In ninth grade Bo came in 8th in the state decathlon event at Alabama state meet. But to get a scholarship Atchinson told him he would have to excel at football also. |
| As a sophomore in high school he became the varsity running back. In his senior year he rushed for 1713 yards from the fullback position. He also played defensive end and was the kicker. In one game the score was 32-0 at halftime and Bo scored all the touchdowns kicked all the extra points and field goals, so the announcer said "Bo Jackson 32- Dora high school 0". |

Bo was recruited to play college football at Auburn and agreed. Alabama was also recruiting him and when he accepted auburns scholarship the coach from 'Bama said he could count on losing to him four straight years. Bo never lost to Alabama in his college career. In his senior season BO won the Heisman Trophy for the best college football player in the country. |
| After he won the Heisman The NFL hype about him increased and he was told he could make $4 million to play football. But instead he played baseball for the Kansas City Royals. But later he ended up playing pro football for the Oakland Raiders. Although he was a trouble maker as a kid he is one of the most electrifying player who ever participated in the game of football and baseball. |
