Jack Johnson was a film student at University of California at Santa Barbara. Chris Malloy and Emmett Molly there his old mates they produced the surf cinema documentary called Thicker than Water. I think Jack's talents as a cinematographer as well as a singer/songwriter is amazing. Thicker than water received  props in surfer magazine for video of the year during 2000.
		the September sessions was a follow up for thicker than water. It earned the adobe highlight award at the Espn film festival that same year. But Jack still steered away from pro sports career and stuck with music
