      The head coach of the Pittsburgh Settlers from 1970 to 1991 was Chuck Noll.  He was born on January 5, 1932.  Noll was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 1953.  He retired six years later.  He became the Steelers head coach in 1969.  Chuck Noll is the only coach to have four Super Bowl rings.  Noll retired in 1991.  He was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.

Terry Bradshaw was born September 2, 1948.  He won four Super Bowls in six years with the Steelers.  Bradshaw was the number one draft pick of the 1970 draft.  He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989. Bradshaw was the MVP in two Super Bowls.  He was also selected to play in three Pro Bowls.

 

 

Franco Harris was born on March 7, 1950.  He was the first round draft pick of the 1972 draft.  Franco’s fans called themselves Franco’s Italian Army.  Harris was chosen for nine consecutive Pro Bowls.  He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

 

  Lynn Swann was born on March 7, 1952. He was the first round draft pick of the 9174 draft. He was the MVP of Super Bowl X. His career record was 335 catches for 5,462 yards and 51 touchdowns. He played in 3 Pro Bowls. He was a Steeler from 1974 to 1982.
  Key Defensive Players
   Jack Lambert was born on July 8, 1952. He was the second round draft pick of the 1974 draft. He was selected to play in nine Pro Bowls. Lambert won four Super Bowl titles. Lambert was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
  “Mean” Joe Greene was born on September 24, 1946. He was the first overall pick of the 1969 draft. Greene was selected to play in ten Pro Bowls. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987. He wore four Super Bowl rings on his      hands.
  Jack Ham was born on December 23, 1948. He was the number two draft pick of the 1971 draft. He went to eight straight Pro Bowls. His career stats were 25.5 sacks, 21 fumble recoveries and 32 interceptions. He has an exceptional ability to diagnose plays.
