Virginia Tech is the top team in the ACC.   In the past years, they dominated their conference beating Miami, Florida State and North Carolina.  They have done this through great recruiting over the years.  Overall, they are one of the best teams in the land.

Virginia Tech is one of the best.  It is led by Heisman candidate, Marcus Vick.  Marcus Vick is a rare complete quarterback.  Marcus Vick can run, throw and brings intensity on every down.

 Marcus Vick is a great player but VT has a lot of players that contribute.  One of their biggest assets to the high powered offense is Mike Imoh, VT's running back.  Imoh is averaging 4.6 yards a carry.  He can run over defenders as well as make them miss..  After Imoh they bring in the short yardage back Cedrick Holmes.  He is like Jerome Bettis, big frame and runs downhill.

The good thing about Virginia Tech is they have a tenacious defense to back up their offense.  It is led by seniors defensive ends Chris Ellis and big Daryl Tapp who have combined for 31 sacks.  Both are capable of creating havoc for offensive coordinators.  This year they held Boston College to 107 yards.  Now Daryl Tapp all 6-1 264 of him is up for the Hendricks award which is awarded to the best DE in college football.  The unique thing about Virginia Tech is their style of defense, they will blitz the lights out of you and when you see that indigo, and orange coming at you, be ready to get hit.

If you do not know by now every team has a rival, and if you have not figured it out by now VT's biggest rival is with West Virginia.  Every year they both battle it out in the game that is left with blood, sweat, and tears. In the early years West Virginia dominated, but in the past decade Virginia Tech has come back to be the dominate team, including the victory this year.  The Hokies opened a can of beat down on WVU. Including this year where the Hokies beat the Mountaineers by 17 pionts.

Every body wants to know who the better player, Mike or Marcus Vick.   Right now is has to be Mike who is the Atlanta Falcons star quarterback.  If you go back to Mike's first eight starts as a senior and Marcus first eight, surprisingly Marcus has the better of the two in some categories.  Marcus by far has a better arm with completion percentage of 68.0 and Mike having a 55.7 average.  Marcus Vick averaged 375 yards passing per game.  In my opinion, Marcus filled those big shoes, his brother left them.
