Mysterious Mary Young Mary Alice is the most mysterious of the housewives, because we only know bits and pieces of her story. She was a loving devoted wife who was generous to her friends. And was the last person anyone would think to shoot herself in the head. In death Mary Alice sees things she would not have seen in her life; all her old friends lies’ and secrets un fold right beneath her eyes, but doesn’t judge them but pity them for their ways of manipulate and hurt others. | Lively Lynette Scavo Lynette Svaco represents that person inside of all of us who cant seem to hold it all together. She is loveable because of her chaotic life, her struggles with her own children, and most important her ability to be honest about hem. How could anyone cope with the family Lynette has? She used to be a high-powered ad exec but now her husband travels alomst all the time and her ADD-affected boys and infant baby are driving her crazy. Lynette is fearless and able to say it like it is. Strung out and exhausted, she halluncinates that Mary Alice is offering her a revoler when she finally comes down, she thinks she is a terrible mother. Motherhood is a struggle with Lynette but she has her friends to help through. Frazzeled, but smart, and willful, who like many others, how generations of women did it. It doesn't help that her children are impossible to handle. But Lynetteis so driven that she tires to apply the same go-getter methods she used in the office, at home. And does not always work, worse, Tom seems to have no idea how harried she is. He's oblivious to her plight and cluelessness only fuels her frustration. |

Surprising Susan Mayer Susan Mayer, her best friend quality is the one that gets her in the most trouble: her huge, open heart. Bubbly, smart, and warm, Susan has a habit of opening herself too easily and seeing the best in everyone. As much as she wanted to be poised and confident, she is nothing like that.

If any charecter highlights the cliquishness and snobbery of surburban women, it is Edie, who is shunned by nearly every woman in the neighborhood.
