To the left of the page, there is a picture with the 4 trophies that represent the Pittsburgh Steelers 4 Super Bowls. Each one of those has our names engraved on them and all the players. The Steelers won Super Bowl IX, Super Bowl X, Super Bowl XIII, and Super Bowl XIV. The Steelers at that time were the best “dynasty” in the NFL.

Three Rivers Stadium was the last Steelers Field. It was the Pittsburgh Pirate’s home field as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers. The field got demolished and turned into Heinz Field. The grand opening of Heinz Field was August 2001. Many memories and games were played at Three Rivers Stadium.

Pittsburgh’s defense was amazing in the 70’s. Jack Lambert and the rest of the Pittsburgh defense made up a name for it and it was “The Steel Curtain”. The Steel Curtain meant that when the curtain went down, no body could get through the defense. So many rivalry teams feared the “Steel Curtain”.

The Immaculate Reception….wow what a play. Franco Harris was the intended receiver. The ball tipped off a Dallas Cowboy’s helmet and Franco Harris caught it right before the ball hit the ground. Harris caught the ball and ran it all the way down the field for a TD. That play won us the game and got us into the Super Bowl.

Chuck Null was a great coach. He coached the Steelers for a very long time. He won them 4 Super Bowls. This picture shows Chuck Null strategizing with Terry Bradshaw. He still is one of the greatest coaches ever. The players and staff loved this guy. He had his ups and downs in his career.

Kicking is not as easy as you think. Tony Gerela was Pittsburgh’s kicker in the 70’s. Kicking takes in so much pressure. Tony made many game winning field goals including winning a Steelers Super Bowl. So many people loved this kicker and still do today.
