  The Beatles. This band has had influence on almost every type of music since the 60's. This website will explore each of its members from birth to current status. After 27 number 1 hits, they are possibly the greatest band of all time.
  Origin of the Beatles

Many people believe the Beatles got their name from the story of "the Man on The Flaming Pie". In this story, John said a man came to him on a flaming pie and said "You shall now be the Beetles with an A." This, however is untrue. The Beatles was an evolved name, started as a sort of spoof on a band called the Crickets back in the 60's. The eventually added an A to the name to include the word "Beat" in it. The Beatles is what it ended up as.
