The Beatles

On February 24, 1943, George Harrison was born to Louise and Harold Harrison. He had two brothers, and one sister. He became interested in music at an early age, and his mom bought him his first guitar at the age of 13. His guitar fell apart while he was experimenting with one of the screws, and he hid it in the closet. He then turned his interest to the trumpet, but failed at becoming proficient. One of his brothers fixed the guitar, and he managed to learn a few chords.

George became friends with Paul since they shared a love of guitars and music. Both were eventually asked to join the Quarry Men, John’s group.

George married a woman by the name of Pattie Boyd on January 21, 1966. Around the same time, George became friends with Eric Clapton even though he showed a longing for Pattie described in his song “Layla”.

Despite Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting, George managed to compose hits such as “Something”, “Taxman”, and “Here Comes the Sun”. When the Beatles broke up, George began a solo career, but it drained all his energy and he went into depression. Shortly afterwards, he and Pattie divorced. She was later married to Eric Clapton, and George remarried to a woman by the name of Olivia Arris in 1978. They had a child named Dhani.

George wanted privacy at this point, and forbid anyone to enter his property. He co-owned a production company in the ‘80’s that produced Monty Python’s “Life of Brian”. He developed throat cancer in the 90’s which eventually spread and took his life on November 29, 2001.
