  Originally called the White Stockings, this team has a rich history and background of what the club went through to become the winning team that they are today.

 
  The franchise started in 1900, when the Saint Paul White Stockings became the Chicago White Sox. They played their first official game in 1901.

 
  The White Sox won their first world series in 1906 by defeating the Cubs. The first all-star game was held in Comiskey Park in 1933. Frank Appling was among the White Sox representatives.

 
  The White Sox won the World Series title a second time in 1959 by coming out on top against the Cleveland Indians, four games to two.
  Since 1900 the Sox have played at an array of different stadiums. The very first was known as South Side Park. After nine years at South Side Park, Charles Comiskey started on a new ball park that was to be called White Sox Park.
 
  White Sox Park opened in 1910, soon became known as Comiskey Park. Comiskey Park was a large field with spacious dimensions. 362 down each line and 420 to straight away center field, this parked served as home for the White Sox for 80 years. The last game was played in 1990.
