Reggie Bush of the USC Trojans
has lived up to his nickname "The President". He has rushed 163 times
for 1,423 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also has 31 receptions for 383
yards and 2 touchdowns, and a punt return for a touchdown. He leads the
nation in all purpose yards and is the #1 candidate for the Heisman
Trophy award, and he's the #1 candidate for the Doak Walker Award. Which
is the award for the best running back in the country. This year in his
junior year and in his 3rd year as USC's starting running back Reggie
Bush is best known for his vision of his field. His vision of the field
is like no other running back he's one of the fastest players in the nation and cuts and sees openings in the line and on the field so quickly. Reggie Bush is the nations most electric players because of his energy on the field. He makes plays when there most needed if the Trojans are every down and trying to come back. In 2004 Reggie averaged 10.1 carries every time he touched the ball, and 34 of the carries have gone for 20 or more yards. |

| Matt Leinart a red shirted freshman is in
his 5th year as the Trojans quarterback. He has played in 3 out of 4
seasons including last years victory in the national championship over
the Oklahoma Sooners 55-19. Matt was the winner of the Heisman last year and is the race for his second. If he does win the Heisman this year he will be only the second player in NCAA history to win two Heisman's back to back. After Offensive Coordinator Norm Chow left the Trojans last year to go to the Tennessee Titans everyone said that he wouldn't be the quarterback he was the year before, but how he has been playing this year has proved all the critics wrong. Throwing for 3,217 yards,24 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions, and rushed for 6 touchdowns. One of them coming against Notre Dame with seconds left on the clock to win the game in South Bend. |

Marcus Vick Quarterback for the
Virginia Tech Hokies is living up to older
brother Micheal Vick numbers and doing better than he did. Micheal even
said himself that Marcus is doing better than he ever did in college. But in 2004 Marcus was suspended for marijuana possession and guilty for reckless driving. Vick was forced to go to a drug education and consoling program. He had to prove to his teammates and coaches that he was drug free for him to be able to play this year. In spite of his absence the Hokies went to the ACC championship and the Nokia Sugar Bowl that year. During his suspension Marcus spent lots of time with his older brother Micheal Vick quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Marcus said he took so many notes and watched so much film with his brother and that's what has made him this good. He also said being suspended made him realize how stupid he was and that he had to grow up and mature and that's just what he did. This year Marcus has thrown for 1,855 yards, 14 touchdowns with 9 interceptions. He also ran for 359 and 4 touchdowns. |

| Vince Young is a 6'5'' 230 pounder and is
the quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. He also does it on the ground
rushing for more than 2,500 yards in his career as a Longhorn, and
throwing for more than 4,500 yards with 45 touchdowns. He's in the race
for the Heisman because he can change the end of the game. His arm is compared to packers quarterback Brett Farve and he runs like the Atlanta Falcons quarterback Micheal Vick. He's second in the race for the Heisman behind USC's running back Reggie Bush. He is one of the best with his vision. He always knows where each defender is and he is great at finding the open receiver and then putting it on the numbers. This year Young has thrown for 2,576 yards, 23 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He has also rushed for 793 yards with 8 touchdowns. |
