This coach has to be the most famous coach to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His name is Chuck Noll. He coached form 1969-1991. His coaching record is 193-146-1. Noll had built a team that went to the Super Bowl four times out of a period of six years. His team beat the unstoppable Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, and the Dallas Cowboys. Back then they were the toughest teams to beat. The Pittsburgh Steelers became the first team to win four Championship rings. Noll brought the city what was never expected. December 1999, he was voted the Head Coach for the All Century Steelers. 1993, Chuck Noll inducted into Football’s Hall of Fame. |

Another Great Steelers coach is Buddy Parker. He coached from 1957 to 1964. He first coached for the Detroit Lions. When he came to Pittsburgh, he put together the longest string of success the franchise has ever experience. He had a record of 51-37-5. He also brought up the idea on changing the franchise name from Pittsburgh Pirates to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recommended his idea to Art Rooney to call us the Steelers after the city’s major industry. |

Here is Bill Cowher, who is currently the Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach. He became the 15th head coach and replaced Chuck Noll. 1995, at 38, he became the youngest coach to lead his team to a Super Bowl. He is the only coach in the NFL history to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first six seasons. During his twenty year coaching career, teams he as been with have made the postseason fifteen times. His coaching record is 138-86-1. |

Another coach of the Steelers is the Defensive Coordinator, Dick LeBeau. He has improved our defense and made it what it is today. Steelers have one of the best defenses. Other coaches call 3-4 defense plays, but Dick LeBeau changes things around making our defense unstoppable. He is one the best coaches the Steelers have. |
