In the late 1980’s, Nintendo came out with a game called Metroid. You are a bounty hunter named Samus Aran. I don’t really know the story too well because I wasn’t born yet. It goes a bit like this, Samus must defeat the evil mother brain. Along her (oh yeah, she’s a girl) way she encounters a strange species called the Metroids (that’s why the game’s called METROID). Metroids are kind of like jelly fish with yellow fang-shaped legs. They suck the life out of you by clinging to your head. This is really weird because Samus was raised by the Chozo and they gave her a high-tech suit which includes a helmet. |
| Along her quest she encounters other enemies like Kraid- a dinosaur-like monster, Along with Ridley-A Dragon-like monster. Next came Metroid 2: Saumus’s Return. Saumus’s Starship is introduced in this game. Then the release of the Super Nintendo came Super Metroid. This is thought as the best Metroid game, and one of the best games ever. |

Metroid Fusion hit the GBA in 2002. A strange parasite called the X-parasite is Saumus’s next bounty. When one infects her, a fusion version of the Chozo suit she wears is created to allow her to survive. She must now destroy everything with X-parasite in it and absorb it. Finally for the Game Cube Metroid Prime was released. People had extreme doubts about Metroid in 3D. However it turned out to be better than ever and attract many more players. In it a strange substance called phazon has mutated the planet of Tallon IV. Defeat the amazing new Meta-Ridley (sadly, no Kraid) and the Metroid Prime and rid Tallon IV of the phazon mutation. With a good ending (over 75% scanned) you see Samus’s head (not helmet) for the first time |

| In 2004 GBA released Metroid Zero Mission. However much more importantly was the release of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The light and dark versions of Ather exist in 2 different dimensions. The dark dimension Ather is gaining power for the light and the species called the Ing that inhabit Dark Ather is destroying all of light Ather. Just as there is Saumus in the Light Ather there is a new Dark Saumus in Dark Ather. Defeat Emperor Ing and Dark Saumus to restore balance between the 2 dimensions. Also you can play in multiplayer for the first time ever. |

. Metroid Pinball was released for the Nintendo DS this year and to this date Metroid Prime: Hunters has still not been released. That is all.
