Christian Dior is known as the most recognized name in the makeup industry. Christian Dior decided to take a turn to make up fashion while living in Normandy, France in 1905. Not only does he sell name brand makeup, but in 1938 he started his own clothing line. That big change into selling both makeup and clothing was starting but great, but do to the fact both lines were released during World War II sales started to down fall drastically.

. In 1947 things finally took another turn when Christian Dior released yet another makeup line named “The New Look.” This new look took everybody by surprise and made major sales. This record breaking look was based more on luxury than comfort. Christian Dior virtually dictated fashion in the 1950’s. He started license agreements in the fashion world.

Christian Dior is also known for their fragrances such as Dune, Dolce Vit, Forever and Ever. J’adore(my personal favorite), and Hypnotic poison. Christian Dior’s make up is all original and is full of glamorous colors to bring out your best facial features. This brand of make up is not particularly cheap.
