Here are some of what I think are the greatest players. Some people who I think are the best are Frank Thomas, Alex Rodriguez, Pedro Martinez, Babe Ruth, Nomar Garciaparra, Derek Jeter, and Cal Ripken Jr

Frank Thomas is my favorite baseball player. He is getting old but he is still classic. He has about a .300 overall average. He was a great help to the White Sox and batted 3rd while playing for them.

Derek Jeter is not one of my favorites, but he is still a good baseball player. He was named rookie of the year in 1996, and just keeps getting better.

Alex Rodriguez is an amazing player. He’s fast, he can hit well, and he is a good fielder. Without him, the Yankees wouldn’t be as good.

Pedro Martinez is one of the best pitchers out there. He can strike out his batters easily. He can also throw almost any pitch well, except the knuckleball.

Nomar Garciaparra is one of the Red Sox’s most loved players, before he got traded to the cubs.  He always had a smile on his face and brought the team’s morale up.

Babe Ruth is one of the best baseball players to have ever lived.  He set the record for home runs (even though Mark Mguire broke it) , and supposedly made “The Called Shot”, which is when he pointed to center field just before he hit a home run there. His legs did not match his body because they were too short and skinny.

Cal Ripken did not miss a game for 2,131 consecutive games. He has more than 3,000 hits and more than 400 home runs. He is one of the more serious people about baseball.
