Mary-Kate and Ashley were cast at the age of nine months back in 1987. The assumption at the time was that they would enjoy a couple of years playing a cute sitcom kid and they fade away and never be heard from again. But they are still American icons at the age of 19. |

Full House became one of television's most beloved shows. It started to run on air September 22, 1987. Mary-Kate and Ashley became very close to the others in the Tanner family. The tanner family was led by Bob Saget, who was the father of the twins. Mary-Kate and Ashley played the same role as Michelle. |

How you might ask? Well, while one of the twins was on air playing Michelle, the other was off the set. They would switch back and forth ever hour or so. | Mary-Kate and Ashley's uncle Jesse was played by John Stamos, and Bob Saget's best friend Joey, was played by Dave Coulier. Later on, Jesse (John Stamos) falls in love with Rebecca Donaldson (Lori Loughlin). Mary-Kate and Ashley weren't the only sets of twins in Full House. After Jesse and Rebecca get married they have twins Nikki and Alex. They are played by Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit. |

Full House went off the air in 1995 so Full House viewers got to see Mary-Kate and Ashley grow up. For each of the 192 episodes they made $2,400 each. After a few seasons Mary-Kate and Ashley became very close to the Tanner family. |

After the first season no one thought that the show was going to go on any longer, but it did. John Stamos and Bob Saget may seem to be good friends on the show, but in real life they didn't get along very well. |

. But after a few years they put their differences aside and got along like brothers. The ending of Full House was hard for everyone but Mary-Kate and Ashley took it the hardest because they grew up on the show.
