#75 Chris frome
Starting defensive end who show good qualities. He had a great performance in the blue-and gold game witch is a scrimmage they have against each other who see who’s good and who’s not. He had 4 tackles during this game a sack and two solo tackles all of these were for losses at least of 2.5 yards. He went to Hart High School in Newhall, California. In high school he   had career totals of 190 tackles, 22 sacks, six fumble recoveries. He put up good numbers and he is scary many say. He was born Jan. 2, 1984.

 
Middle Line Backer
Corey Mays #46
A senior is sure to start and is an inside line back and is looking ready for action he had a great game in the 2005 blue- gold game and shows that he is ready to rock and roll he had 6 tackles and two sack this game. He is one of ten members of the Irish selected to the team's Leadership Committee. he was born Nov. 27, 1983, in Chicago he went to Morgan Park High School in Chicago .he was a second-team pick on the USA Today All-America team. He was selected to be on the "Best of the Midwest" team his senior year.”


 
Strong Safety
#9 Tom Zbikowski
 A junior he is a “Playmaking safety” the coaches say he will be returning in 2005 for his new season.
He is also a return man for the Irish this season. Very inteliginent player. Went to Buffalo Grove high school he was a USA Today first-team All-American.  He was named Chicago area player of the year as a senior.
He set Buffalo Grove career records for points scored 274. He ran the 100 meters at 10.4 he has 10 track and field records for his high school. He was born May 22, 1985,
Corner back  #22 Ambrose Wooden
He is starting this year he is a junior he was a former wide receiver but changed over to comer in 2003. This year he is supposed to be a force to be recant with he is fast and very aware the coaches say about him. He went to The Gilman School in Baltimore; he was a Super Prep All-American and also a Baltimore Sun all-Metro offensive player of the year. He was born in born Feb. 22, 1984.

 
Coach’s Defensive backs
Will Luis used a defensive nickel package coach the last nine seasons for the NFL Miami Dolphins. He also was a head coach at Wyoming, East Carolina and Georgia Tech. He was awarded the job assitent defensive coach he mainly helps the defensive backs. Under his influence the Dolphins finished in the top eight in the NFL in pass defense six of the last seven seasons. He coached on the Dolphin staff the last three years alongside current Irish tight ends and special teams coach Bernie Parma lee.

 
Defensive line coach
Jappy Oliver was a defensive line coach the past two seasons at the University of South Carolina. He also has coached 25 seasons at collage level of football. He also previously served on the staff of Air Force's Fisher DeBerry for eight seasons from 1995 through 2002. During his eight years as defensive line coach at Air Force they finished a combined 65-33. Now he is the defensive line coach and defensive head coach and he is respected threw out the league for his teachings.
