Shihtzu's

  Shih Tzu's come in a variety of colors.  The dogs have a thick coat.  Shih Tzu's do not shed, and if you have allergies the breed is just right for you.  Most shih Tzu's are around 9-10 inches, and 9-16 pounds.  Females  are most likely smaller than males.  You must groom a shih Tzu often you protect the coat. 

  Head: One of the most special features of the breed is it's round broad, domed head.  Shih Tzu's have big eyes, so you can see the true expression. 
  Movement: Shih Tzu's should move smooth, and effortless.  It should look like the dog is flowing.  The movement is important for a healthy shih Tzu.

 

Personality: Shih Tzu's are always alert, and positive.  Also shih Tzu's can be very demanding.  Shih Tzu's love giving kisses, and also the breed loves to be right by your side. 
 

Puppy to Adult:  When choosing to bye a Shih Tzu you either choose an adult or puppy.  Most people get puppies, but it is all of preference.
