Referees

The referee controls the game. He decides when there is an offside, foul, throw in, and anything else. He keeps the time and tells when the game starts and ends, and when there is a halftime. The referee has the power to throw a player out of the game with a red or yellow card. A yellow card takes you out for 5 min. and a red card can take you out for the whole game.

Kicks

There are many different types of kicks you can take on type is a free kick. This can be direct or indirect. This happens when the ball in not in the eighteen and someone gets hurt or there is and offside play. A direct kick does not have to be touched before it goes in the goal. An indirect hit has to be touched by another player before it goes in the goal. Another type of kick is a penalty kick. This happens when there is a handball or fouls in the eighteen. This can also be direct or indirect. A goal kick is another type of kick. This happens when the ball goes out between the goal and the corner flag. Nobody can be inside the eighteen when this is being taken. The defending team takes the kick.

When the ball goes out of bounds there is a throw in. The ball has to be totally over the touchline. The ball is given to the opponent’s player who last touched the ball. You must throw the ball totally over your head or it is illegal.
