Forward This position can also be called offense or striker. You can be a center forward or and outside wing. Wings stay on the outside and try to score or cross it into the middle. Center players stay in the middle and wait for a cross and then try to shoot. |

Midfield Midfielders stay in the middle of the field they are split up just like forwards. They have a center mid and outside midfielders. Many people think this is the hardest position because you have to run the most. You have to help the offence when the ball is up I that end and the defense when the ball is in your end. Midfielders carry the ball up the field and pass to the forwards they also help cross the ball. |

Defense Defense tries to keep the other team from scoring. They are the players farthest to the back. Defense has two outside players a stopper and a sweeper. A stopper is at the top of the diamond and the sweeper in the back. Defense tries to clear the ball up to the forward or midfielders. |

Goalie Goalies protect the goal. They stand in front of the goal and try to stop the ball from going in. They are the only players who can use their hands but they can only use them in the eighteen. Goalies have quick reflexes to stop hard and fast shots. |
