Mario Lemieux was the star of hockey during most of the 90’s. During his career he has only played for one team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Mario Lemieux led the Penguins to two Stanley Cups, one in 1991 and the other in 1992. Mario Lemieux accomplished a lot during his career including two Hart trophies, two Conn Smythe trophies, four scoring titles, and two Stanley Cups.

 

 

Wayne Gretzky dominated hockey during the 80’s. Wayne Gretzky played on four different teams during his twenty-year career. He holds over sixty league records. Along with that, Wayne Gretzky has helped his various teams get nine Hart trophies, one Conn Smythe trophy, seven coring titles, and four Stanley Cups.

 

 

Mark Messier has played for three teams, the Oilers, the Canucks, and most recently the Rangers. His career started in 1979 with the Edmonton Oilers. Mark Messier ranks second on the All-Time Regular Season Scoring with 1887 points. Messier has accomplished a lot, including two Hart trophies, one Conn Smythe trophy, and six Stanley Cups.

 

 

Patrick Roy is often regarded as one of the best goaltenders in the NHL. He played for the Canadiens from 1984 until 1995 when he was traded to the Avalanches Patrick Roy played with them until 2003 when he retired. While playing, Roy received three Vezina trophies, Conn Smythe trophies, and three Stanley Cups.

 

Ray Bourque played twenty-one seasons with the Boston Bruins, however in 2000 (upon request) he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. A Mario Lemieux was the star of hockey during most of the 90’s. Jaromir Jagr is often regarded to as “Mario Jr.” (an anagram from his name). Jaromir Jagr has played with three teams during his career. Most of it was spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He helped lead the Penguins to two Stanley Cup Championships. He has since played with the Washington Capitals, and is currently playing with the New York Rangers. Jaromir Jagr has won one Hart trophy, three Art Ross trophies, and two Stanley Cups.
