Kelly Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982.  She was born in Fort Worth Texas.  Her parents were of Greek, Irish, and German descent.
	Kelly's parents divorced when she was only six years old.  Her brother went to live with her dad, her sister went to live with her aunt, and Kelly went to live with her mom.

After fourth grade, Kelly moved to Burleson, Texas.  In middle school, a teacher overheard her singing in the hallway and invited her to join choir.

		Kelly moved to Los Angeles after her graduation.  She sent out a demo tape, but her apartment then burned down, causing Kelly to move back to Texas.
		Kelly never had professional singing lessons.  Her best friend Jessica convinced her to try-out for American Idol.

Kelly Clarkson won best female video and best pop video both for 'Since You've been Gone'.  Another one of Kelly's songs is 'Behind These Hazel Eyes'.

	Kelly has a very down-to-earth personality.  She has had some very odd jobs such as a cocktail waitress, a promo girl for RED BULL!, at a movie theater, in a pharmacy, at Chili's, at the Fort Worth zoo, as a telemarketer, as a door-to-door sales agent for Kirby vacuum cleaners for a day, and others.
	Kelly played a lot of sports such as volleyball, track, basketball, and soccer.  Therefore, she didn't wear make-up until late high school.  Kelly says she's happiest on her own.  After being heart broken from guys she gave up on it and found the whole idea pointless.
