Jump Kicks are hard
because
you need to be able to jump high enough to do the kick right. You need
to do this right so you can hit the persons face. They may look easy
but most of them are harder than you think. When the teacher says jump
higher that's exactly what you need to do so you are better at your
kick. Always have your knees bent.

 |
Jump kick
number one is a jump side kick. A jump side kick is when you jump up
with your knees bent. Then you have one knee bent and kick eith your
other leg. Jump side kick is to kick the person in the face. You have
to have your body turned a little bit so your heel hits the person and
not the toes.

 |
Jump kick
number three is a flying side kick. This jump kick you have to run. If
you don't run you wont fly, it is as easy as that. You run down then
when you get about four inches that's when you want to jump. Make sure
your front part of your body is facing away from the bad guy, but just
have your head turned. This jump is a fun jump to do.

 |
| |
 |
This kick
is called a back wheel kick. All a back wheel kick is you start out
facing the opposite who your kicking. Turn your head to make sure you
have your aim right. Keep your head turned that way and just swing your
leg around, bit remember to be aiming at the person you are fighting.
This kick is an easy kick to learn. As the end of the kick you want to
be facing the opposite way from when you started.

The next
kick I am going to tell you about is a 360 jump back kick. My picture
shows a normal back kick. You can image what a jump 360 back kick is.
It is just like a back kick but do a 360 and jump all at the same time.
This kick is a kick that you learn when a red or close to a red belt.
So a green would learn it, and that is what I am.

The next
kick I am going to tell you about is a running jump round kick with the
front foot. There is a jump kick called a jump round kick without any
running at all. What you do for a jump round kick is the same thing
you do without running. Now you have to jump a whole lot higher, than
when you the running jump round kick. Now they are both easy to learn
but some people it might take a little bit longer to learn a running
around kick or a jump round kick. Its okay practice makes perfect.
Theses kicks are hard at first but they do get easier a whole lot
easier.

There is a
thing called a three-station break. That is when you have to break
threw boards three DIFFERENT ways. You will do that break when you are
a BLACK belt. You can break the board with all kinds of kicks. So I am
going to tell you about all the kicks first.
|
|
| |
|
The first
kick is a running jump snap kick. All you do different for this is kick
to break a board. You just have to kick a whole lot harder. The next
kick is a standing side kick. You have to turn your body. You have to
get twice as much power when you break a board. There are more kicks but
I cant think of them right now. Now on to the breaks that you can use
your hand and arm.
|
|
| |
|
The first
arm, hand break is a sudo break. If you don't have your hand tight
enough, you try to break a board you will break your hand instead. So
for this break you want your hand tight and you hand in knife form.
Then bring it back behind your head.
|
|
| |
|
The next one
is a over the hand hammer fist. You put your hand in a fist.
Make a big circle over your head. You want to practice three times
on the board but you just set it on the board, and then on the third
time you hit it hard and break the board.
A reverse punch is just a punch so that is nothing BIG.
|
|
| |
|
A palm
strike is when you break the board with your palm. Make sure you don't
hit the board with your fingers. Your fingers can break on this break.
|
|
| |
|
This is
how you should for all your breaking or most of your breaking.
|
|
| |
|
This next
break is called overhead knife hand break. This one is self-explanatory
over head, knife hand. Remember tight fingers and hand.
|
|
| |
|
This next
you can shatter your elbow. It is called an elbow strike. You have to
hold your wrist, and hit the board, with your fore aim and half of your
elbow.
