Tubing

  Safety

Tubing like any other water activity has some safety features. A life vest is the number one safety feature of tubing. Also the driver must have a water craft license. A boat ore would be a good idea to have encase your boat is stuck. A person over the age of 10 should be spotting

  Equipment

Tubing equipment includes a tube and rope. Also, a boat of course. A bathing suit or a wet suit is necessary. The rope should be around 65-75 feet long. Each passenger in the boat should have a life vest.

  Tubing

Tubing is thought to be easy and fun but it can be very hard. You start tubing by attaching the rope to the boat and tube. Then get on the tube with a partner or just yourself. When you are ready to go yell "Ready!" and the boat will pull away. Moving your thumb up means that you want to go faster, moving your thumb down means that you want to go slower. If you move your hand across your neck flat it means stop. To have a hard ride ask the boat driver to go fast and to make u go across the wake. There is a chance to flip on most round tubes and some others. If you go on a slow ride it can still be fun.

  Varieties

There are many varieties of tubes. Some are round, flat, tall, and come in many other shapes and sizes. I thought the round normal tube was always the best until I tried other ones. If u ever do try tubing pick one that is ab-normal. What is your favorite tube?
