Getting into books

with less pictures

The Great Illustrated Classics books have fewer pictures as the children’s books.  I actually should have said a lot less.  This is because you are older and are expected to be able to read longer stories and still be entertained.  These books will also prepare you for when you get older, start reading chapter books, and eventually get to books with no pictures.

Peter Pan

Peter Pan is an exciting story about a girl and her family who get caught in a magical land called “Neverland.”
The story’s main character is Wendy.  She is everything that a good woman should be, honest, truthful, trustworthy, loyal, and caring.  She wants to go back to her real home but her brothers don’t want to.  This creates a problem that she will have to solve in order to accomplish her goal.
Her brothers soon realize how bad it is in Neverland because of the evil Hook.  Peter Pan has to come to their rescue in order to save their lives.  To find out what happens, be sure to read the book.
