Jack Russell Terriers can come in three different colors: they are black and white, black, white ,and brown, and just white.  When they are born it does depend on the breed if you can tell what color they are going to be when they get older.  The height range for a terrier is 12-14 inches high,  and a weight range is from 16-18 pounds.  They come very small when a human stands up.

Being an outside dog a good thing for these animals because they are used for hunting.  Most people use them as house pets.  Getting a lot of exercise is important for these dogs. Most of the male dogs can sometimes be aggressive, but the females are a little bit calmer.  these are an adorable animal to have around the house.  Any kind of dog also needs their sleep.

Asking the vet or owner about the dog's food is important.  Checkup's are  needed as soon as possible when you get the dog to make sure he does not have an infection, or anything else like that.  After the puppy is weened from it's mother, start giving the dog some small portions of food, and as it gradually gets older, you need to give more of a portion to the size of the dog.
