Jessica Simpson
Dance/pop singer Jessica Simpson was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, beginning her performing career as a member of her church choir; at 12, she also auditioned unsuccessfully for the Mickey Mouse Club. While attending church camp for the following summer, Simpson was discovered by the head of a tiny CCM
label, spending the next three years recording her debut album; the label; folded before the record could be released, however, although a small pressing was eventually funded by her grandmother. She nevertheless became a hit on the Christian Youth Conference circuit, also sharing bills with Kirk Franklin, God’s Property, and Ce Ce Winans. She wanted to expand her popularity in the secular market, so she signed to
Sony, touring in support of boy band sensations 98 degrees prior to releasing her 1999 major label debut Sweet Kisses, which launched the hit “I Wanna Love You Forever.”  The following year she married Nick Lachey from 98
degrees. She then made several appearances on That 70’s Show, and her and Nick’s MTV-produced reality show Newlyweds; captured countless moments of the couples first year of marriage.
Jessica soon made her third album In This Skin which appeared in July. Her best single was “With You” and by spring 2004, In This Skin was re-released. It included “Take My Breath Away” and “Angels.” Through al this Jessica had to put up with her little sister Ashley Simpson who released her new album and was  recording The Ashley Simpson show right after hew show Newlyweds. Jessica was a big support to Ashley though, and Ashley’s album ended up selling really well. Over all Jessica Simpson is an amazing, beautiful, and successful artist.
