When your beagle is good you should praise him or her and give them a treat that you know they like. When ever you   congratulate your beagle make sure you say good boy or good girl.. Make sure you say it in an excited tone of voice (so you get your beagles attention.). This will keep him going on and doing whatever he did good. So this is a very important thing to do. So you must do this to make your dog happy and you happy.

When your dog is bad it is important that you don't hit you're dog. Instead of hitting you're dog use the crate method to punish your dog for bad behavior. When you punish him or her say "no" or "bad" in a strong strict voice. Also you should take away a toy that he is playing with and put him or her in a crate. The most important thing about the crate method is don t baby you're dog after it has bin in the cage. Don't give it any attention while it is in the crate either. Also make sure you don't baby you're dog before you put it in the crate. This method is very important so when you're dog grows up it will not be a bad dog. Remember if you're dog does something bad and you laugh and think it is cute and funny when it grows up it won't be so cute and funny anymore.

When you first get your beagle make sure he or she interacts with other people, objects ,and animals. If you don't your dog might live in fear over a ball in your yard or another animal. So when it is a puppy start out by showing him a ball or a toy. when he begins to play with the toy than you can start showing him or her to other animals. Make sure you interact and play with your dog.

when you get your beagle for the first time you should let him out side a lot and let him smell around and see if he goes to the bathroom if he or she does than congratulate him or her and give it a treat. If he or she goes inside than put it out side and say no for maybe the first 5 -10 times. Even if it is going to the bathroom inside you must still give it treats if it goes out side. If it continues to go inside take away a toy and put it in a kennel. it is very important to not give it attention or 'baby" it when you put it in and out of the cage.
