| THE STORY This movie is about a young couple who are torn apart by the girls parents who force her to move before she goes to college and is forced to abandon her one true love. This movie is set in the south in 1923. It is basically a more recent version of "Romeo and Juliet". then they finally meet after 4 years, and the girl is married, and the boy has gone mad after the sorrow of loosing his love. luckily, at the end of the story, they eventually hook back up after the dismay of her mother and husband. |

This entire story is basically the book
of the beginning of their marriage. The movie actually begins at
their final days of their lives. The girl (who is now very old) is at a
nursing home and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and everyday, her
husband comes to the nursing home to read her the story of their lives
that he wrote in a small beat up notebook . At the end of the story,
they sadly but romantically die together at the end of the movie, in
each others arms. aww!
