Tap

Tap dancing is known and appreciated all over the world. You can see tap dancers on television, in movies, and on stage. Tap dance is not only fun, it is also a great way to exercise. To tap dance well, you need to be in good physical shape and be concentrated.
Tap dance is a blend of European and African dance styles. Tap’s basic technique is from English and Irish dances, such as jigs, clogs, and step dances.

Tap is different from all other types of dance. It is all about making music with your feet. In tap, you have to wear special shoes. These shoes have metal taps on the heels and toes. The taps make the sound that you hear.

Here are some basic steps.

Cramp Roll

A simple cramp roll is a step with four sounds. A cramp roll is made of a toe drop, a toe drop, a heel drop, and another heel drop. At the end, both feet should be flat on the ground.

Shuffle

A shuffle is a two-sound step. It consists of a forward brush, followed by a backward brush. Always brush to the front first. Make the sounds short and clear. Make sure both feet are on the floor when you finish.

Ball Change

The ball change is a step that has two sounds. To do a simple ball change, lift your right foot. Place the ball of your foot behind you. Now, pick up your left foot and put it back down so that both your feet are on the ground.

Tap dancing is a fun, active form of dancing. You need to be in good shape and be determined to be good at it.
