Lhasa Apsos

A lhasa apso has long fur completely covering it’s body.  Normally  this type of dog is brown but  it can also be black or white.  Because their fur is so long, most of the time the dog’s hair is covering it’s eyes and it can’t see very well.

A lhasa apso would make a great house pet. These  dogs normally live for about fifteen to eight teen years.  The majority of lhasa apsos are thirteen to fifteen pounds.  They’re pretty small dogs so they’d be good  around kids.  This type of dog does not need a huge yard to play in, they’re fine living in an apartment or small house

To take care of a lhasa apaso they need to be walked daily.  They also need brushed daily to keep their fur from matting.  You can also cut their hair short if you don’t like to have to brush It as much. If you cut it short it’s a lot easier to groom them.

Training

Training and house breaking your dog should start as soon as you get your dog.
The best way to train them is five to ten minutes  three times a day. It’s more effective when the training session is shorter than when itS longer because the dog can lose interest very easily.  When giving your dog commands try to use shorter words, and use them frequently.  Also when you give your dog a command it’s a lot better to use it’s name to get it’s attention because then it gets used to being called by it’s name.  When training your lhasa apso make sure that if they do something good that you reward them.  If they do something bad punish them, to make sure that the dog knows it’s bad use the same punishment each time the dog does something bad.
