Jerome Bettis is a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bettis has been playing for the Steelers since 1996. In college Jerome played for Notre Dame. Last year in 2004, Bettis ran for 941 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had 4 yards per rushing attempt and 59 yards per game. Jerome Bettis also has a nickname "The Bus." He is called this because he can, with his weight, carry defenders on his back while he is still running to get a few extra yards which most running backs cannot do.

Terry Bradshaw probably will be the best quarterback in Pittsburgh Steelers history. Bradshaw played for the Steelers from 1970 to 1983. Terry Bradshaw was the number one draft pick by the Steelers in the 1970 NFL draft. In that time he played he led the Steelers to four Super bowl titles in six years. In two of those Super bowl's he was named Super bowl MVP (most valuable player) awards. In his career he completed 27,989 yards for 212 touchdowns. He also threw the "Immaculate reception." And Terry was inducted into the Pro Hall of Fame in 1989.

Joe Greene was the number one draft pick by the Steelers in 1969. Joe Greene's position for the Steelers was Defensive tackle. Greene played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1969 to the 1981 season. He was named Defensive player of the year awards in 1972 and1974. Greene played in four Super bowls and six AFC title games. Joe Greene was part of the Pittsburgh's "Steel Curtain" era. Most of the fans in Pittsburgh called him" Mean Joe Greene."

Franco Harris was a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers from the 1972 season to the 1984 season. In that time with the Steelers he helped them win four Super bowl titles.
