Heinz field is the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heinz field sits on the banks of the Ohio river in downtown Pittsburgh. Heinz field is one of the best football fields in the NFL. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on June 18, 1999, and the field was completed in August 2001. |

The scoreboard video display measures ninety-six feet by twenty-six feet.,which is the largest scoreboard in the NFL. Most people call the scoreboard "the Jumbotron" because its so big. The opened end of the stadium offers a view of Pittsburgh's skyline, the riverfront and the fountain at Point State Park.

At Heinz field seating includes 129 luxury suites,6,500 club seats, and 64,450 stadium seats. Heinz field is largely constructed of Steel which was one of Pittsburgh's biggest industries. There is also attention in the installment of the field. Heinz field is designed to resist freezing even in Pittsburgh's cold winters. There are thirty-five miles of tubing containing a heating system that lie beneath the playing field.

The Heinz tomato ketchup company gets naming rights on Heinz field. Heinz ketchup is a factory that was created in the city Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengal's in the first regular season game at Heinz field. And in the first year at Heinz field the Steelers won the AFC division title and led the NFL in defense.

There is a special feature in Heinz field called the Coca-Cola Great hall. In the Great hall fans can look at the whole history of the Steelers. They have old Steelers uniforms, pictures, and much other memorabilia in the Great hall. the Great hall is really like a Hall of Fame just for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
