Laguna Beach is a rich community located in Orange County, California.  The teens in Laguna Beach love to have fun.  They like to go on vacations and hang out in Laguna.  They go on group trips to places all over California and Mexico.  Some of the residents have moved away for college and to explore the world.  Every season the seniors go to Cabo, San Lucas.  The trip is always a lot of fun and very interesting.  Also they drive 4 hours to Mammoth Ski resort.  The girls, Kristen, Jessica, and Alex H. go there to learn to

snowboard.  Also Kristen's family owns a cabin in Mammoth.  Stephen is currently attending college in San Francisco.  Lauren (LC) also went there for her first semester of college but dropped out.  Now she is back in Laguna deciding what to do with her life.  Stephen has a cool roommate and likes San Francisco college, but he misses seeing Kristen and comes back to Laguna as often as possible.  Another vacation site is Catalina.  The teenagers in Laguna have plenty of money to spend on vacations and they like to go to the best possible vacation sites.

There are two main cliques in Laguna Beach.  The first is Kristen's.  Alex H. and Jessica are the two main members.  The other clique mostly belongs to Alex M.  Taylor and Casey are always on Alex M.'s side.  Alex H. and Alex M. are becoming friends and they would like there cliques to stop fighting so often and hang out.  Kristen and Taylor agree to the idea but Alex M. and Jessica can't stand each other at the moment.  Kristen and Alex H. are starting to ignore Jessica.  Jessica is still upset over her dramatic breakup with Jason and now Alex M. is on her case.  The girls in Laguna would like everyone to get along but they all have trouble compromising.
