Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the United States. He was a very respectful man even when he was a child. He issued one of the most important proclamations in all of America’s history. He was the first republican president which was the party against slavery at the time. He was a very honest man and even earned the nickname “Honest Abe” for it. He was known as a great lawyer and politician. He ran second term for a short amount of time before he was murdered by John Wikes Booth. He was so famous and such a good president that he was chosen as one of the four presidents to be on Mount Rushmore.
