Two Skiing

Two skiing is the most common type of skiing for beginners. It’s hard at first but, once you’ve got it down it gets easier every time. You can watch people two ski in competitions or just for a fun activity to do. A lot of people use two skis when competing in jumping ramps.

 

 
 

One Skiing

Once you’ve got down two skiing, you’ll probably want to try one skiing. It takes balance and strength to one ski. Once you’ve got it down, there are a lot of slalom courses you can race on and compete against other slalom skiers.

 

 

Barefoot Skiing

Barefoot skiing takes a lot of time and practice. A lot of skier’s barefoot ski on one foot. You’ll see a ton of people do tricks, turns, and jumps while barefoot skiing. Today barefoot water skiing competitions are very popular nation wide.

 

 
 

Double Skiing

Double skiing is a fun type of water skiing to do with a friend. Before you try double skiing make sure your partner is as experienced as you are. Also, make sure you have signals to communicate with each other, like when you want to switch sides or stop. Double skiing is not used in competitions but is a very fun activity for skiers.

 

 

 

Trick Skiing

Trick skiing is a fun way to let skiers show their different skiing abilities. It lets skier’s make-up creative tricks and their own courses. Once you’ve practiced trick skiing and you’ve got it down, a lot of skiers like to compete and show off their routines. Two of the most popular trick skiing moves are side slides and surface turns.

 

 

Competitive Skiing

If you have mastered slalom skiing, trick skiing, or other styles of competitive skiing, you’ll probably want to start competing. If you want to start competing you have to join the American Water Ski Association. When you join, you can compete any where you want, any time you want as long as you follow their rules.
