This Corvette was a prototype of the car they expected in the 21st Century. The designers made a ton of clay models for the car but couldn’t decide on which one to choose. They never made any of these cars. This picture is actually a clay model (although it does look real). |

The 1999 Corvette offered a third body style. A fixed roof eliminated the car’s heavy back window. The hardtop was the cheapest priced Corvette. It cost $38,197, $394 less than the convertible or the coupe. The 1999 Corvette had a 620 horse powered engine. |

The 2000 Corvette has alloy wheels. The hard top could get fog lamps and magnesium wheels. Those wheels previously were only available on coupes and convertibles. It cost around $36,000. |
