This Corvette was a prototype of the car they expected in the 21st Century.  The designers made a ton of clay models for the car but couldn’t decide on which one to choose.  They never made any of these cars.  This picture is actually a clay model (although it does look real).

This is a sketch of what the inside would look like.  They took the inside of older corvettes and added some modern technology

The 1999 Corvette offered a third body style.  A fixed roof eliminated the car’s heavy back window.  The hardtop was the cheapest priced Corvette.  It cost $38,197, $394 less than the convertible or the coupe.  The 1999 Corvette had a 620 horse powered engine.

The 2000 Corvette has alloy wheels.  The hard top could get fog lamps and magnesium wheels.  Those wheels previously were only available on coupes and convertibles. It cost around $36,000.
