History of Breeding Dogs and other important

The Practice of breeding dogs was introduced almost
when dogs were introduced. Some dogs like the larger game (hounds) were
breed for different types of work. Some jobs were hunting vermin,
driving, flushing out game, and guarding. Breeding for appearance
didn’t start till the19th century. Then eventually they were separated
in two categories, the Purebred dogs and the random category.
Dog Shows: Our man’s passion and pride! They
started in the 19th century. The dogs were unidentified
except for their kennel names. Organization was required. Descriptions
and breeds of the dog was/is needed!
Breeding Standards is the ideal dog. It’s an
attempt to describe” perfection” There’s standards are high and
breeder’s use models to make better dogs! They make dogs to impress
judges. The objective of the –AKC- is to advance the study, breeding,
shows, running, etc.
Breeding Groups and classes-150 breeds eligible for
AKC registration. Breeds our assigned one of seven classes. The classes
are sporting, Non-sporting, working, herding, Terriers, hounds, and
miscellaneous.
Some dogs are very rare and haven’t been recognized
