In the wild, only about 2500 some tigers are breeding adults. |

Out of 8 subspecies, 3 of them are extinct. The Bali tigers, Caspian tigers, and Javian tigers. |

There are about 20 to 30 some South China tigers that exist in zoos. About 500 Sumatran and Siberian tigers exist. The Bengal and the Indochinese tigers have the largest populations but still are almost extinct. |
