Lions are family animals. There are usually 1 to 6 males and 5 to 15 females per pride. | |
| When a new dominant male moves into the area, it kills the younger cubs sired by other dominant males to make females want to mate. |

Females share care of cubs and cooperate together to bring down prey. Although they hunt, the males eat first. | |
| Males are 30% to 50% heavier then females, some have dark manes but most ones have golden males. |
