The Exotic Shorthair is another descendant of the American Shorthair.  It is a man-made breed.  There are very many varieties.  They are affectionate to their whole family and love to be playful.  Exotic Shorthairs are affectionate and likes to play with you.  They make ideal family pets.  Their fur is dense and plush but a medium length.  The body is short and low-set, with short, thick legs and large, round paws.  The tail is short and bushy.  The head is round with a short nose.  They have round cheeks, and large, round eyes.  The ears are small, wide set, and pointed at the tips.  There are very many colors but the eye color always complements the coat coloring.  The coat can be cared for easily, with gentle brushing.  A diet of meat, giblets, and some cooked vegetables must be restricted in quality to avoid weight problems.  They are wonderful animals and make wonderful pets.
